Oxidised sterling silver wire and filled gold necklace

This unusual necklace would make a special gift for someone who loves statement accessories.

Making

To create the pendant I used traditional silversmithing techniques. I shaped recycled sterling silver wire, following a pattern I designed. To add stability to the pieces, I soldered some of the overlapping wire together. I cut shapes from filled gold and all the pieces were soldered together. The whole necklace was then oxidised to give a lovely contrast to the gold. (The gold filled sheet has been created by mechanically bonding a layer of gold to a layer of base metal.) As all my jewellery is handmade, there may be a slight variation in the sent piece to the pictures shown. Please note, as the piece has been oxidised the colour may change over time.

Inspiration

I was inspired by shapes in mid century art. Through a design process, I created a small collection of pieces made by shaping wire into unique patterns.

Packaging

The necklace will arrive in a black jewellery box, complete with simple care instructions and a small anti-tarnish tab.

Delivery

The necklace is ready to ship in 5-10 business days, however, once purchased, I will endeavour to despatch as soon as possible. Delivery for this product is via Royal Mail Special Delivery. (Please note, the shipping time and delivery method is different for this product from my shop’s standard shipping times.)

Dispatch

Processing time for shipping goods is 3 to 5 business days, however I will endeavour to dispatch your order as soon as possible. If you require an order by a specific date please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel an order then please contact me as soon as possible and before the item is dispatched for a refund. It the order has already been dispatched then a refund will be issued when the piece has been returned unworn and in it's original packaging.

I currently deliver to the UK only via Royal Mail second class Signed For (shipping upgrade is available when purchasing).

Refund Policy

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it for a full refund or exchange within 14 days of the purchase date. It must be returned unworn and in the original packaging. To initiate a return, please contact me with your order number and reason for return. We will provide you with instructions on how to proceed with the return process. Once your returned order has arrived we will contact you and issue a refund within 48 hours. We cannot be held responsible for any returned orders getting lost so please retain your proof of postage in case you need to make a claim with the delivery company that you have used for your return. Please note earrings cannot be returned for hygiene reasons unless faulty.
