Orange Silk Zip Pouch and Purse made from Recycled Vintage Japanese Obi (Kimono Belt) Individually Priced

These unique zip pouches  are made from a recycled vintage Japanese silk Fukuro obi which is the beautiful wide belted bow around the kimono. The front features a floral design (umi branch – plum blossom) with silk and metallic thread on bright orange background. For the back I have used the orange silk back of the obi. The lining is a speckled orange cotton called Toast twist. Both silks have a nice stiff texture and between the fabrics I have added a medium loft iron on wadding to help keep the shape. Each pouch has a bright orange zip opening. See photos for further detail. I do not waste any fabric and have a zero waste approach to my sewing. These pouches are all varying sizes as I utilise all my fabric and trim off cuts including short pieces of left over zip.

These would make an ideal evening or wedding bag. The smaller pouch is substantial enough to hold a few items including keys & money. The larger pouch could also hold a phone. However, they would also make a luxury small flat lay make up bag or hold whatever you want. I use mine to keep my kimono silk hair scrunchies which are available in another listing.

As this is recycled fabric there may be the very occasional stitch mark in the fabric, blemish or fold line. I have checked them fully to make sure they do not spoil the quality of the product.

Larger pouch Width 20cm, depth 14cm, thickness 1.5cm

As this item is only 1.5 cm thick, it would make an ideal letterbox gift.

If however there are any problems with an order and you wish to return it, please contact me as soon as possible within 14 days of receipt. After contact, the item must then be returned in its original condition within 30 days of purchase.
Shipping costs cannot be refunded unless the item is faulty.
If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Refund will then be made once item has been returned.
