Needlefelted Barn Owl on wooden post

Sleepy needle felted Barn Owl, perching on a wooden post set into a needlefelted bank.
This needlefelted Barn Owl is 5″ tall, with the post and base included the whole sculpture is 9″ tall.
The base is foam at its core, needle felted with fibre to resemble stones and turf. The post is a piece of driftwood collected from a nearby Somerset beach.
The needlefelted Barn Owl has been made with a core of wool then the plumage created with a wool/silk mix.
