A little silver dog chained to a fence based on the art of L S Lowry.
These are new and totally unique… I’ve gone right back to my Lancashire roots with these new pieces.
Having been born and spent the first 7 years of my life in Manchester I was very familiar with the artist L S Lowry.
These new pieces have tested my old drawing skills, before turning the drawings into new and exciting pieces of silver jewellery.
This piece is based on a drawing Lowry did of a dog sat at a fence, I’ve elaborated a little on the drawing by adding a chain from the dog to the fence.
Now I’m now sure if the owner is nearby or if this little chap has been abandoned so these pieces are in honour of all those who have ever given a home to a rescue dog. 🙏
The dog and the fence are hand cut and shaped from Sterling Silver, and the dog has a little collar of copper. The small chain from the dogs collar to the fence is also Sterling Silver.
The overall size of the pendant is 3cm wide x 3.7cm high.
The chain in Sterling Silver belcher chain and the overall length end to end is 18 1/2”
The reverse is plain and not textured.
Fully hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office with the makers hallmark.
