Handmade Dainty White Sea Glass and Silver Drop Earrings
£35.00
This unusual and handmade pair of cute little drop earrings feature a mini ‘pebble’ stack of 6 small pieces of sea glass in various shades of white that dangle from a sterling silver hook. Each of these pieces was collected by me on one of my day trips to Seaham to see my family and they have been individually drilled by hand to create mini sea-glass pebble ‘beads’ that have been threaded onto a sterling silver bead wire to create a stack, inspired by the pebble stacks you often find created on beaches.
The different shades of ‘white’ are shown off with this design, as they dangle from the solid sterling silver earring hooks. A very wearable and unusual pair of sea glass earrings.
Details/Measurements: Earring drop from top of hook to bottom of sea glass (approx.) 3.5 cm; Sea glass pebbles are all approx. 1cm diameter x 0.2-0.3cm (as they are a natural product and used as found each piece is slightly different in shape and size, just like the pebbles on the beach); Hooks and wires are solid sterling silver.
Whilst this is a design that I do recreate when I have enough of the right pieces – you can be assured that any pair you may buy will be different from any other – because no two pieces of sea glass are identical in size, shape or colour, and being handmade, there will be some variation in how they are put together too!
The white stacks would be wonderful as icicle/snowy inspired adornments to your winter wardrobe and they make great gifts – especially for Christmas!
The earrings will arrive wrapped in pale green tissue paper fastened with linen thread, and in a kraft pillow-box. A little handwritten note explaining a bit about the piece is also included. Additional gift wrap options are available, see below.
POSTAGE INCLUDED: The package will be shipped in 1-3 days and sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24.

White sea glass can sometimes feel a little ‘boring’ because it’s the most commonly found glass, and it can be more challenging to work out what to do with it. Likewise small pieces of sea glass are harder and more fiddly to work with – but when I was sorting through all the glass from my latest collecting trips I was reminded of what I always see – that ‘white’ has various shades within it – some slightly creamy, some with a hint of green or blue and some slightly pinky. And from this the idea of stacking some little pieces together was born! These were quite popular at Hampshire Open Studios (and I have kept a pair for myself)

COMMISSIONS: You may also like to know that I love taking special requests and commissions – perhaps to celebrate a special birthday or event, or maybe just to turn a favourite ‘something’ you have collected into a piece of jewellery you can wear. So if you’d like to talk about creating something truly unique and bespoke for you or someone in your life please do get in touch, I’d love to help. Previous commissions have included turning a customer’s own sea-glass into a necklace, handcrafting a Bramble flower for a 21st birthday, recreating a dangly Catkin for a favourite sister or some coffee bean earrings for a Barista. It’s also worth knowing that commissions don’t necessarily cost more than items in the shop – it depends what you have in mind – so it’s always worth a no-strings chat.

All of my pieces are handmade with a lot of love and I take great pride in everything I make, and in seeing a smile on your face! I am a strong believer in hand-made meaning quality and also that because each piece is individually made by hand there sometimes may be irregularities on the surface reflecting the organic nature of the materials I work with , which creates truly one of a kind pieces.
I also know that occasionally things might go awry, and if you find that you have a problem with your item please contact me straight away so we can discuss how best to resolve the situation.
