The hexagon shape has been used by quilters for centuries. In this quilt, the hexagons are not joined together as they would be traditionally, but are set alongside each other on the quilt background to create the impression of a floating pattern. The pattern allows for using specific fabrics to form a rainbow or ombre effect, or can use scraps or patterned fabrics to make a unique quilt. Instructions are given for fabric requirements and piecing techniques, along with clear diagrams for marking and quilting.
