This eco friendly fine silver 999. urchin shell pendant has a small 5mm. turquoise stone and is handmade in my studio in Lytham St.Annes, Lancashire.
A unique and organic piece of jewellery.
Pendant Diameter 1.4cm.
Fine silver is a clay-like material made of fine silver powder which has been reclaimed and recycled from silver waste, water-soluble organic binders are added producing a precious metal clay. The clay is then rolled and shaped using texture mats or organic items, leaves and flowers, which are impressed into the clay before being fired in a digitally controlled kiln. The binders vaporise, the powder sinters, and the soft clay turns into real solid 999 silver: producing a ready to wear environmentally friendly and sustainable piece of jewellery.
