This is part of a new collection of hand dyed aluminium jewellery that also incorporates engraved designs.
These earrings are made with a hand dyed/printed aluminium and sterling silver hook ear wires. This design is made with 2 aluminium discs that have been hand painted in various shades of a magenta/purple colour. Both discs have a subtle engraved botanical design reminiscent of embroidered silk.
Size- approximate overall drop is 4.5 cm. The width of the lower larger disc is 2 cm.
Earring wires are sterling silver hooks.

All my aluminium jewellery is created from small panels of hand printed and dyed aluminium. The process can be pretty random, building up layers of pattern in various colours before dip dying and adding dyes to the panel using a brush. Once steam sealed to prevent fading I then select areas of each panel to use in my designs.
This is part of my new ‘water colour’ inspired collection. Panels of aluminium are hand painted with a combination of colours. Colours combine and bleed into each other creating a water colour effect. Each panel created is a one off due to this process and then I select areas to use in my jewellery. All pieces are hand crafted in my Cheshire workshop.
