Hand forged dragon doorstop set in oak.
The dragon’s head acts as a handle, you can move the doorstop without bending down.
I hand forge these dragon doorstops in my workshop in Worcestershire. I heat the metal to 1000 degrees in the fire and form it into a dragon’s head on the anvil. I thoroughly enjoy making dragon’s heads, each one is different and has it’s own character. When I am happy with the dragon’s head I clean it with a wire brush to reveal the beauty of the metal, I then coat it with beeswax to protect it. The metal work is then attached to a beautiful piece of oak to complete the heavy doorstop.
The whole piece is between 80 and 90 cm tall. The block of oak is 20cm high.

If I have to make the item then I should be able to ship it within 2 - 4 weeks.
