Each of these broomsticks is made entirely by hand, with branches from my own garden, the broom is made with dried grass.

Besoms or broomsticks, are considered good luck to have in your home. If you hang one above your front door they are said to ward off negative energies, and help deter unwanted guests!
There is a tradition called ‘jumping the broom’ often carried out at weddings and hand fasting ceremonies, where the newly wed couple jump over a broomstick, which symbolises a new beginning and sweeping away the past.
