A soft yellow coloured hand crocheted bowl or jug cover in pure cotton yarn with added glass beads. A practical yet beautiful piece of home decor which is perfect for inside and outdoor dining.
Keep your food and drinks free from bugs, dust and twigs with this reusable cotton yarn and glass bead cover. The crochet work is closely crocheted so the holes are small enough to stop those pesky flies and wasps.
I crocheted this cover in a daisy petal design using a pure cotton yarn in a variegated yellow, mustard and cream colour way. To the trim of the cover I added glass beads a plenty in co-ordinating colours. These glass beads are crocheted in to the design not sewn on, so they will remain secure even after the cover is washed.
The glass beads used not only add weight to the cover but look stunning too. This cover can also be used as a plant mat.
The cover measures approx- 22 cm / 8 1/2 inches without the bead and crochet trim and approx 27 cm / 10 3/4 inches with the trim. It is perfect to cover a bowl or jug with the diameter of up to 7 1/2 inches / 19 cm as this will ensure a nice drape over the sides of your bowl.
Machine wash or hand washing recommended. If adding to your washing machine may I suggest a cool wool wash cycle and if you put your cover in a pillow case of wash bag before adding to the machine it will protect the glass beads from the machine and vice versa.
