This is a print taken from a Gerards Herbal dating around the 1600’s – I have hand coloured the herbs with watercolours, using muted colours to give that aged look. This is on watercolour Giclee paper 240gsm which as a lovely linen texture adding to those olden days look.
This is a Mandrake – a very old mystical herb and one for the Harry Potter fans!
