Cascade Ruffled Scarf: a soft and lightweight fine merino wool and viscose fibre scarf in beautiful shades of soft teal, duck egg, amethyst and lightning. This can be worn so many ways, layered ruffles wrapped around your neck, or draped with a flourish. The complementary colours create interest on both sides and the ruffles make them both visible together.
Measurements: 25cm x 116cm
Fabric Care: it is best to wash this scarf by hand if you can, or use the handwash setting on your machine with nothing else in it. The process of making felt involves warm water, soap and agitation. This is exactly what your washing machine does. There is a risk of further shrinkage if you agitate it further in hot soapy water. Using natural soap also helps it to keep its lustre and drape.
It can be spun to extract most of the water, or rolled in a towel and pressed (stand on it or ask the kids to jump up and down on it!) before hanging somewhere warm to dry completely. Finish off with a gentle steam iron to restore its shape and lustre.

I create pieces inspired by my local environment and love to play with combining colours. I really enjoy making my pieces interesting from both sides or fully reversible. Ruffled scarves are created by laying the wool fibres out in such a way that as they shrink throughout the lengthy process, the ruffles are naturally formed. I take care and patience to ensure a fine finish with a soft drape that feels both warm and light when worn.

I use Royal Mail as far as possible
International shipping is currently restricted to a few countries outside the UK but if you cannot see your location for shipping, please get in touch as I am happy to obtain a one off quote for your region.
Outside the UK, the buyer is responsible for any import taxes that come due.
