The Cairo Tile pattern has been used in design and architecture for centuries. It is formed of pentagons in a form that allows them to tesselate. Used in a quilt, this creates a unique and fascinating design that can showcase fabric choice, piecing techniques, and unusual binding. The quilt is finished with scalloped edges that emphasise the pentagon form.
