This is a framed painting of Mallaig in Scotland. Layers of pastel blue acrylic paint depict a calm sky that contrasts with the choppy, wild waters around the coast. In this seascape, I have used sweeping brushstrokes to paint the sky and the sea in the middle ground. The sea in the foreground has been painted with a palette knife and various sponges to create texture and movement. I’ve applied layers of earth tones for the cliffs with hints of reds, blues, purples and ochres peeping through to indicate the ruggedness of the land holding firm.

This painting has been inspired by my many trips to Mallaig over the years. The light changes all the time, casting shadows over land and sea. I’ve called this painting, ‘Mallaig Shores’.

Shipping Policy
I use Royal Mail Tracked 24 services for all artwork.
Framed or canvas paintings will be covered with glassine paper before being carefully encased in bubble wrap (or equivalent). I re-use packaging where possible. The artwork will then be secured in a heavy duty mailing box.
Unframed mounted artwork on paper will be packaged in a protective sleeve and then placed in a reinforced, hard-backed envelope (or equivalent).
