Hi, I’m Jane and I’ve been making quilts for over twenty years.  A few years ago I made a traditional hexagon quilt, and wondered if there was a way to make it more modern.  I started playing with laying out and sewing hexagons onto a background.

I love the way I can create an ombre effect with varying shades of plain fabrics, and can change the look by inserting a few hexagons that ‘pop’ within a quilt.

I’ve also made some quilts with delicate and bright Liberty fabrics, that are just so pretty.  It’s great to be able to customise a quilt depending on what theme or effect is requested.  I can size up and down, so have made every size from cot to double bed.
