So it’s another weird year but one thing that it has done is enable people like me that make handmade gifts an opportunity to really spend some new found free time doing what we love most – creating! I am super excited about the twenty something new gifts I’ve worked on this year which will hopefully be photographed next week and listed soon after. For now though, I wanted to share my Easter makes! Next year I think I’d like to look into some decorations too but this time I’ve made some card prints, felt cards and my favourite thing to make – my felt magnets in a matchbox!
So, what can you expect from my new designs? I hope it’s the same thing you like about the whole of Ice Cream Cat! They’re bright, cheerful, quirky, funny and punny! I always bear in mind when making my cards and gifts that my goal is to put a smile on the face of the people who receives them – both my customers and the person they’re gifting them to.
For my new Easter magnet in a matchboxes, I really wanted it to be a fun alternative to a traditional greeting card or gift, including for those who are unable to eat chocolate eggs for dietary reasons. You could pop in a £5 note, a poem, or a little message to make it eggstra special (sorry I couldn’t resist)! As an added bonus they’re the perfect size for a letterbox gift.
For some reason I’d never really drawn much in the way of rabbits before but I was happy to do so and love how cute they turn out! Perhaps some different coloured bunnies for next year or a ‘hoppy easter’ message since I do love a silly pun.
So! Whilst it’s still a strange year and we might not get to see our loved ones this Easter, we can still let them know we’re thinking of them and we care. Be it through sending a card or gift, or just a phone call.
Have a lovely Easter everyone!
