Large Butterfly Necklace | colourful wearable art

I wanted to make a vibrant statement necklace that was both bold and yet delicate at the same time, a lovely large butterfly to wear seemed like the answer. The pretty pastel colours of my fabric design I call – Journey Over the Rainbow – seemed like an ideal starting point. The painterly pattern design compliments the butterfly design so well, whilst the faux leather and plywood I use to create it, mean the finished piece is lovely and lightweight.

The faux leather I use is printed with my design by a fab company based in London, and I hand paint on the butterfly’s body in silver paint. Whilst the plywood I purchase from a little company just outside Cambridge. The wood is also painted, I use this gorgeous metallic purple colour that shifts slightly in the changing light. The chain is plated with real silver and contains no nickel or lead, making it hypoallergenic and ideal for those with sensitive skin.

Please note postage is free. Your parcel will be sent out to you using Royal Mail Tracked 48. The postal boxes I use will fit through a standard letter box, so no waiting around for the postman required.
Please note: I use fully recyclable, card and paper packaging with all my orders.
