Handmade Silver & Amber Sea Glass Charm Bracelet

£45.00

An understated, single charm bracelet of solid sterling silver chain with a small dark amber coloured sea glass charm.   The small but perfectly formed bubbly old piece of sea-glass from Seaham in County Durham has been encased in a fine silver bezel to create a simple charm which has been added to a solid sterling silver chain to form a simple, subtle and unique piece of jewellery.

Measurements:

  • The chain, including clasp, measures 20cm (you can always hook the clasp further along the chain to make it tighter if you need, as I do!)
  • The sea-glass & silver charm measures 1cm x 0.5cm (approx.

I seek to use the sea glass pieces I find, as I found them, so I treat each piece as the unique nugget it is – some are bezel wrapped like this one, others are wrapped in fine silver wire, others may be drilled and wire wrapped, and others may be used within silver clay designs.   Each piece has its own story, and th older the glass, the bubblier it is, and the more ‘salty’ the surface.  And they come in a wide range of colours and rarity.  This piece is dark amber, very bubby – so is likely pretty old.    Many of the sea glass pieces I find and work with, like this one,  are quite small and fiddly to work with – but I believe they create delicate, beautiful and highly wearable jewellery, and this bracelet is no exception.  Extremely light-weight and it will go with pretty much anything!

A small but perfectly formed bubbly old piece of sea-glass from Seaham in County Durham that has been encased in a fine silver bezel to create a simple charm which has been added to a solid sterling silver chain to form a simple, understated and unique piece of jewellery.   I am an avid collector of nature’s treasure, including shells, fossils, leaves, twigs and anything that catches my eye, and is safe and nature-friendly to scoop up.  Sea glass is just one of the things I always look for whenever I am by the sea, wherever that may be – which is sometimes on the famous Seaham sea glass beach in County Durham, which I visit if I have time when I am up visiting my family in Durham – but I also always am on the lookout wherever I am,  including Dorset, Hampshire and Cornwall – I even found some in Kefalonia when I was last there!

The pieces I find are often quite small, but I still feel they can create beautiful and highly wearable jewellery, and this bracelet is no exception.  Extremely light-weight it will go with pretty much anything!

Returns and Refunds

All of my pieces are handmade with a lot of love and I take great pride in everything I make, and in seeing a smile on your face! I am a strong believer in hand-made meaning quality and also that because each piece is individually made by hand there sometimes may be irregularities on the surface reflecting the organic nature of the materials I work with , which creates truly one of a kind pieces.

I also know that occasionally things might go awry, and if you find that you have a problem with your item please contact me straight away so we can discuss how best to resolve the situation.
