It’s been a while (actually, a long while) since my last Blog and so with the nights now starting to draw in and the early mornings feeling a tad nippy, it seems a good time to start thinking about my Christmas gift shopping.
As usual I will be looking to fulfil my gift list from the very many talented sellers at The British Craft House. There is so much to choose from and the gifts are always so well received.
I always notice a sharp increase in the number of visitors to my own shop, Four Seasons By Michele, at this time of year too. I remember a customer telling me once that “I didn’t have a clue what to buy until I happened across your shop and then suddenly I had lots of ideas!”
Certainly, I currently have a wide range of my handmade items listed in my British Craft House shop and ready to ship. I can even send them direct to your gift recipient, with your personal gift message handwritten onto a handmade quilted postcard.
You can choose from my selection of handmade fabric covered trinket boxes, such as the lovely oriental fabric example that is pictured. I make these boxes completely from scratch, starting with measuring and cutting the mountboard pieces through to adding a layer of soft padding and then stretching the fabric over the pieces, before finally hand stitching the box seams.
Additionally I also have a wide selection of handmade bags available, ranging from colourful quilted totes through to unique handbags, shoulder bags and backpacks. My bags always have at least one zipped pocket and indeed most of the more structured bags have at least three or more pockets, plus great features such as zipped tops and adjustable shoulder straps.
If you’re gift shopping for a home lover I can offer you a choice of handmade cushions and quilted patchwork table runners, again all unique and made with care.
