Sunflower trinket dish with matching pin brooch, handmade in polymer clay, beautiful gift for her

Sunflowers are one of my favourite flowers, and it felt like just the right time of year to create a tribute to their beauty! This vibrant sunflower trinket dish features a large, dramatic bloom, every petal sculpted and applied by hand, a bright contrast against an azure sky graduated from light turquoise to deepest blue.

Made in light but sturdy polymer clay, the sunflower trinket tray would be a lovely addition to a dressing table, and is also great to use as a ring and jewellery dish. At 9.5cm across, it will bring a splash of colour into any little corner as a catch-all for the little bits and bobs everyone finds on surfaces around the house.

So that you can take some of the loveliness of this autumn blossom with you, I made a matching sunflower pin brooch, which will look gorgeous on a coat or scarf as the weather gets cooler, reminding the wearer of sunnier days past and to come. Measuring around 3.5cm across, it is fitted with a Sterling silver pin back and catch, making it most suitable for thicker fabrics such as outerwear. It would also look lovely as a handbag pin.
