Preston bus station was built in the Brutalist architectural style between 1968 and 1969, and it is, depending on how you measure it, the largest bus station in the world, the second-biggest in Europe, and the longest in Europe.
It has been described by the Twentieth Century Society as “one of the most significant Brutalist buildings in the UK”.
