This handmade cream fabric covered sewing box has a pincushion and elasticated pocket. It is padded and lined and has a removable lid.

I make these boxes from scratch, starting by measuring and cutting mountboard pieces. I then glue these pieces together to form the basis of the box and attach a layer of soft wadding to all surfaces, apart from the base.

Next, I stretch fabric over all surfaces and then hand sew the seams to complete the box and lid. I also make a soft pincushion and an elasticated pocket and attach these to the interior.

For the exterior of this sewing box I’ve chosen a beautiful soft cotton cream patterned fabric and a pale pink cotton fabric for the interior. All fabrics are 100% cotton. The matching pincushion and pocket are made with the same exterior fabric.

Entirely handmade, this sewing box would make a marvellous gift for a sewing friend or even for yourself! The interior of the box is roomy, for storage of scissors, thread and other sewing notions. The pincushion is fixed inside the lid to provide a safe home for pins and the integral elasticated pocket can be used to keep packets of needles safely. The lid itself can double up as a handy tray to keep loose items together while you are sewing.

The overall size of this sewing box is 7 inches (18 cm) wide by 7 inches (18 cm) deep by 5 inches (12.75 cm) high.

The lid itself is 7 inches (18 cm) wide by 7 inches (18 cm) deep by 2 inches (5 cm) high and it fits onto the base, which is 6.25 inches (16 cm) wide by 6.25 inches (16 cm) deep by 4.25 inches ( 10.5 cm) high.

All orders are sent using tracked services.
Orders are sent by either DPD or Royal Mail Special Delivery. Deliveries are normally within 1-2 days after handing them to the delivery company.
I do not currently offer shipping to Northern Ireland or any destinations outside of the UK.

Refund Policy

If on receipt of your order you have changed your mind about purchasing it or there are any other issues, please email me at fsbm@mail.com within 14 days of delivery and if necessary I will confirm the return address. You are entitled to a full refund if items are returned to me undamaged and in the original packaging within 30 days of delivery. You are responsible for the cost of return postage unless an item was damaged when you received it - in which case, please send me photographs of the item and its exterior and interior packaging as I will need all of these to make a claim with the delivery company.
If you are returning a shipment from a country outside of the UK, please clearly mark your parcel "Returned Goods" to avoid a customs charge, which will be deducted from any refund that is due to you.
