‘Sunset’ fused glass butterfly necklace

A unique handmade pink/orange sunset themed butterfly shaped necklace made from fused glass. The butterfly is mounted on an eco-silver bail and comes with an 18″ sterling silver chain. The necklace is presented in a gift box.

We made this necklace by first creating a slab of sunset themed glass using bullseye sheet glass and glass frit (powdered glass) with an added sprinkle of dichroic glass frit for sparkle. The slab was the fused in our kiln before cutting it into butterfly shaped cabochons. Each cabochon is unique because no two slabs of glass are ever the same.
We made the eco-silver bail using traditional silver smithing techniques and the cabochon is attached using epoxy resin.
The butterfly measures approximately 3cm wide at the widest point by 2.5cm long.
