A brief introduction to the maker behind the brand, and a bit about my business Handmade Retro Jewellery!
Hello, I thought I’d pop an entry into my blog introducing myself.
What is Hallmarking? Well it’s not the 925 or 999 stamp you often see on a piece of silver jewellery. It’s a full makers mark that has been stamped or laser marked by one of 4 assay offices in the UK. I am registered with the London Assay Office. You can tell which assay office has stamped the piece by the symbol in the mark, for London it is the lions head.
Anyone that sells precious metal (silver, gold platinum) must display the hallmark notice, either online or on their shop or stall otherwise they are breaking the law. If trading standards catch them they can be fined and have all their stock confiscated! A very scary idea!
Hey, thanks for checking out my blog! I’m Caroline. This introductory post is to expand on all things Re- Energize You and answer a few questions…
What is energy? Why do we need to re-Energize?
How can Energy Stones help me?
Essentially, we are all energy- from our thoughts to the sound of our heartbeat… the frequency is what denotes how well we are feeling. You’ve probably used such phrases as feeling low, or being on a high, what you are essentially talking about is what vibration you are resonating at. Maintaining a higher frequency keeps your mental, physical, emotional and spiritual body on point and ultimately is what we mean by optimum wellness.
Here is a little info about me, what inspires me to be creative, and what I love to do. Beverley, the jewellery maker behind the brand, ‘Bevart designs’.
A whole year since I started my sewing workshops!
Hi. I’m Jo, the yarn addict behind A Good Right Hook. Read on to find out a little bit about me and my life.
‘Tis the Season to be Jolly, I have always loved Carols around a tree, the pretty lights, the anticipation of piles of gifts on Christmas morning, the buzz of excitement in the air but I will confess as I have got older the magic is fading for me. I see adverts on the television of happy families sat playing games and enjoying themselves but in reality as I read the papers I see a different world one where many families are separated and the older generations are possibly spending the day alone as they don’t want to be burden on relatives, or those families who don’t have money to put food on a table let alone buy gifts, who then have to deal with the question why Santa leaves lots of gifts for some Children but not them.
