I’m Alice, I’m a potter and I make ceramics thrown on a potter’s wheel from my home studio on the South Coast. I make mainly tableware – mugs, jugs, vases and kitchenware. Each piece is hand thrown, hand glazed and fired to 1250 degreesC. I believe that everyday rituals like a morning cup of coffee or serving food at the table are enhanced with vessels that have been crafted into being from earth, water and fire, the key elements of making pottery.
