Yellow stripe fordite drop earrings
These silver earrings feature chunky drops of Dodge fordite bezel set in sterling silver and finished off with sterling silver safety hooks. The vintage fordite has concentric rings of yellow, red, black, green and orange on a white background and is an almost matched pair (I do my best to get them identical). The safety hooks (also known as kidney wires) hold the earrings securely in your ears so no more loosing one in your chunky winter scarf! The earrings measure 40mm from the top of the hook to the bottom by 18mm across (about 1 5/8in by 11/16in). Comes gift boxed and make the perfect gift for someone who loves the unusual or old muscle cars (see the full description below for why).

These drop earrings feature chubby teardrops of vintage dodge fordite which has been bezel set in sterling silver and finished off with sterling silver safety hooks. The fordite is a near matched pair with concentric rings of yellow, red, black, green and orange on a white background, the back of these is a bright blue and the drops can be slipped off the hooks when not being worn and turned around so the blue is on show. The safety hooks (also known as kidney wires) hold the earrings securely in your ears (so no more loosing one in your chunky winter scarf!) The earrings measure 40mm from the top of the hook to the bottom by 18mm across (about 1 5/8in by 11/16in). Comes gift boxed.
Fordite is the name given to many layers of cured car paint that builds up in old style spray booths at car factories. The paint gets baked hard inbetween each layer leading to a durable material that can be cut to show off the many colours. This particular material I have matched to the colour charts for Dodge in 1970 – that’s not any old shade of yellow that’s banana yellow! I cut this material myself and you can see the rough in some of the photos (not included) so if you love fordite but want something else making drop me a message. Vintage fordite is becoming increasingly hard to source and thanks to more efficient painting processes less is being made so if you love your cars get some of the unique material whilst you can.
I aim to ship as quickly as possible normally within 24 hours. For the UK I use either tracked 24 or special delivery which should arrive the next working day whilst for international orders I used international tracked or signed services. International post is subject to delays at the moment, sometimes lengthy due to customs, but since it is tracked you can follow its progress around the world. Buyers are responsible for any customs fees but if you contact me in advance I can help you work out how much these will be.
I am happy to ship gifts direct to the recipient with a message so they know who its from but you will need to specify the recipients address at checkout. I will only ship to the address specified during checkout.

I'm more than happy to refund an order if it turns out to just not be to your liking. Please let me know within 14 days of receiving it and return it within 30 days (you will need to pay the return postage and I strongly recommend using an insured service in case it goes missing). I will refund when the item is back with me and I've checked that it is in its original condition.
Personalised orders can not be refunded unless faulty.
