Description
A tiny pair of handmade pure silver scallop shell stud earrings with sterling silver posts and butterfly backs.
The shells measure 9mm x 11mm and weigh approximately 0.9g each.
The silver shells are made from 99.9% pure silver which is recycled. I use Precious Metal Clay to hand make the earrings, using a mould I made from the original that a friend kindly sent me from Hawaii.
Scallop shells are symbols of protection, love and friendship and are also seen as lucky charms especially when travelling they also bring with them their own bit of magic and protection for their owner so make wonderful meaningful gifts for any women in your life.
A larger queen scallop shell of which these are is available as a necklaces to match is available in my collection. Please contact me if you can’t find them or they are sold out and I will happily make one for you.
All my jewellery comes in complimentary, black, branded, eco-friendly gift boxes tied with ribbon.
Care Instructions: All my jewellery is made from Fine Silver and Sterling Silver which by its very nature tarnishes over time. Silver jewellery stays bright and shiny if worn but can oxidise and tarnish when left so I recommend storing your jewellery in the box I send it in which has a special anti tarnish foam and I also put an anti tarnish strip in the box which should help delay the tarnishing process. If your jewellery does tarnish you can invest in a silver polishing cloth to keep it shining. I provide a silver polishing cloth free of charge for all orders over £75.00. Be careful with skincare products and perfume as this can cause tarnishing.
N.B. In accordance with British law, all silver items over 7.78 grams should be hallmarked. I only hallmark my pieces that weigh over 7.78 grams as it is an expensive process. My hallmarking is done at The Birmingham Assay Office, complete with my makers mark “DAY”. For more information on hallmarking please see The Assay Office Dealer’s Notice: Here
