Silver Aurora Halo Necklace with Dichroic Glass Spinner Pendant

£42.00

Sterling Silver Aurora Halo Necklace.  Dichroic Glass Spinner Pendant made from recycled sterling silver and handmade dichroic glass cabachon. Pendant measures approx 40mm across and is fitted to an 18 inch sterling silver chain.

I have made the bezel setting for the pendant from recycled silver sheet then made the 2 outer rings from silver wire and soldered them loosely to the bezel to create a halo effect. I made the dichroic glass cabachon by cutting and layering sheets of glass then kiln firing to create the cabachon which forms a natural oval shape as it melts together in the kiln. Each dichroic cabachon will be different and takes around 8 hours to create. The silver bezel has been made to fit the organic shape of the cabachon perfectly.  Suspended from an 18 inch sterling silver chain.

All items are giftboxed in recyclable plastic free packaging.

Silver and aurora dichroic glass halo necklace. I have used artisan glass in shades of aurora, green and black to create the cabachon, cutting and layering glass and kiln firing to create a completely unique piece. Each glass piece takes around 8 hours to complete from initial cutting and design to kiln firing and cooling slowly so that the glass does not fracture.

Once the glass is made I created the setting from recyled sterling silver, designed to fit the glass perfectly.  The setting is entirely hancrafted with silver sheet and wire. Suspended from an 18 inch sterling silver chain.
