Description
A 9cm square dish which I fused in my kiln. Twice, once to fuse all the glass together into a flat square and then again, to slump it into the dish shape.
This is basically an apple in the form of a dish. Really very cute but also made extra special with the addition of all the dichroic decorations.
A very pretty little ornamental dish., beautifully bright and shiny.
Dichroic (pronounced “dye-crow-ick”) glass, literally means “two colored.” It is derived from the Greek words “di” for two, and “chroma” for color. It was thus named because of its fantastic multicolour reflective properties. It appears to have more than one color at the same time, especially when viewed with different lighting.
A lovely dish for your trinkets, sweets or just to enjoy as an ornament.
I find my fused glass pieces very tactile and this dish is lovely to just hold and I rather like to think it might be picked up just to admire the shimmer and the colours.
