Description

A fabulous Natural Cork Journal, a great alternative to leather (Vegan approved by PETA) and eco-friendly.

Hand Bound in a durable Natural Portuguese Cork, Five signatures (booklets) are bound into the cover with a traditional Irish Linen book binding thread.

The closure is a Faux Suede Cord wrapped twice around the Journal and there is a very handy Ribbon Page Marker

The Journal lies completely flat when open for use, making it so easy to fill every page and is refillable, a kit can be purchased separately.

All Journals arrive wrapped in new tissue paper, and recycled packaging or brown paper.

I can Gift Wrap your Journal, write a Gift Tag and send directly if you would like me to.

All orders are sent by Royal Mail 2nd class signed for.

These Journals can be made in both A5 and A6 size, the approximate sizes being;

A6 Portrait and Landscape – 11.5cm x 15.5cm x 2.5cm.
A5 Portrait and Landscape – 16cm x 22cm x 2.5cm

A6 Journals are only available with 130gsm cartridge paper.

For A5 Journals there is a choice of paper;

160 pages 130gsm Cartridge Paper, ideal for writing or drawing.
200 pages, 100gsm Dot Grid Paper, perfect for creative journaling, BUJO
200 pages of 100gsm Lined/Ruled Paper

Cork is a natural material and is harvested from the Cork Oak Tree every 9 years. Once harvested the bark grows back on the tree and can then be harvested again. Most Cork originates from Portugal and
is durable, water-proof and stain resistant. A Cork Oak tree which has been harvested absorbs 3 to 5 times more carbon dioxide than the unharvested one. So by harvesting and using cork leather, we are actually helping to decrease air pollution! How great is that!

Shipping Policy

Despatch of your order will be despatched within 3 to 5 working days of receipt of payment for stock items. For custom orders delivery time will be confirmed at point of order. I will message you when your order has been sent.

All items are posted second class signed for unless otherwise requested. Should you require a different service, a different price will of course apply.

For majority of made to order items, please allow 10 working days after receipt of payment for despatch. I will of course always try to accommodate any special requests etc, by arrangement. And will always endeavour to improve upon 10 working days!

Important: For last posting date for Christmas delivery, please contact me as soon as possible so I can check and confirm with you.

I do not accept returns on custom orders unless there is a fault with the item.

You have 14 days to return standard/stock items, in an unused condition, please message me and I will email you a returns form. Postage for returned items is at the cost of the buyer.

Returns are not accepted on Sale items.

Be aware that computer screens differ slightly in colour representation, and the colours you see could be slightly different in person. As my work is hand crafted, please expect small differences between what is pictured and what you may receive.

All items are hand crafted and therefore all measurements quoted are approximate.

Leather is a natural material and creases and marks are an inherant part of the material.

I use old Atlas', vintage Ordnance Survey maps and Road Atlas to produce Map Journals. These maps are not new, they have had a previous life, and may well have marks, and folds in the case of ordnance survey and road maps etc. This adds to the charm of the finished journal. I would not use any map that I would not accept myself and keep my standards very high.

To protect the environment where I can I use recycled packaging, but please be assured that items will be packed well.
