This hot air balloon hanging decoration has been made entirely by hand to my own template using coloured soft wire, woven onto a twisted wire frame.

The frame consists of 12 shaped pieces, meeting together at the top with curls and then knitted together when the coloured wire is woven round and round and in between each seam of the frame.

The bottom of the balloon is linked together with a twisted wire circle from which a handmade chain is added and ultimately, the balloon’s basket is suspended.

The top of the balloon to the bottom of the basket measures approx 13.5inches

Circumference approx 18 inches

From top to bottom (including the loop and hook) approx 20.5 inches

This item is not a toy and is for indoor display only.

The wire will tarnish and change colour over time, depending on where it is displayed; if in a window in direct sunlight this process will be quicker than if displayed out of direct sunlight. It is made of wire and as such should be handled with care to prevent being bent out of shape. I have made every effort to ensure the ends of the wire are tucked in however there may be some sharp ends to be mindful of.
