Fire poker

Hand forged heart fire poker.

These pokers are hand forged in my forge in Worcestershire.

The fire poker is a very traditional item made by blacksmiths for centuries, I have given it a modern twist by adding a heart.

Once I have heated the metal in the fire and shaped it on my anvil I remove any scale with a wire brush, this reveals the beauty of the steel. I then coat the poker with beeswax to protect it and give it a beautiful sheen.

The heart sits well in the hand and helps balance the poker when in use.

They make great gifts for weddings and anniversaries….the 6th wedding anniversary is “iron” and the 11th anniversary is “steel”.

Great in a modern or traditional home.

The poker is approximately 64cm long, but I can custom make them to your requirements.
