Description
I’ve made this sketchbook using traditional bookbinding methods. The inner plain paper block is made by cutting and folding the paper into signatures and then hand stitching them into a book block. This is lightly glued down the spine and headbands are added. This is left to dry overnight. The outer board is then covered in fabric and attached to the book block together with the coloured end pages and again left to dry overnight.
The fabric on this particular sketchbook is a Seasalt Cornwall fabric called Inked Floral Siskin. It’s a pale mustard yellow with large off-white leaves and flowers. The end pages are a toning cream coloured card.
Pages: 46 double-sided sheets of acid free, fine grain, plain white cartridge paper (160gsm) suitable for pencil, ink and wet media.
Size: width 15cm x height 15cm Spine depth 2cm
The pencil and paintbrush are for display purposes only.
I’ve tried to represent the colours as accurately as I can but please remember that monitors, tablets and other devices do vary.
