Handmade Recycled Fine Silver Ammonite Stud Earrings

£50.00

These handmade, eco-friendly fine silver ammonite stud earrings were made using a mould of the original ammonite fossil, one I found on the beach at Charmouth in Dorset, and eco-friendly recycled fine silver in the form of silver clay.  The clay was used with a mould of the original fossil, and left to dry.  Once fired a replica of the original is left in solid fine silver.  These have been given a gentle polish to leave a Matt finish, which gives an understated look, whilst still showing the detail of the ancient fossil.   Please note that as these are hand made, each of these individual earrings won’t be exactly the same – making this a unique pair from the same fossil.

Details: Each fine (99.9%) silver ammonite stud measures approx. 1.2cm x 1.2cm x 0.2cm.  The butterfly and post are sterling silver.

The earrings will arrive wrapped in pale green tissue paper fastened with linen thread, and in a kraft pillow-box, as shown. A little handwritten note explaining a bit about the piece is also included.

Additional gift wrap options are available, see below.

POSTAGE INCLUDED: The package will be shipped in 1-3 days and sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24.

If you would like to upgrade so your jewellery is displayed in a Hugged by Nature kraft cardboard jewellery box before being wrapped then please select this option.

These cute little fine silver ammonite fossil stud earrings were handmade using a mould of the original ammonite fossil, one I found on the beach at Charmouth in Dorset, and eco-friendly silver clay.  Silver clay is a blend of tiny slivers of waste silver with an organic compound and water, to create a very malleable clay-like material that can be used in many different ways, and once dried it is fired, which burns off all the organic binders leaving behind solid fine silver – which is 99.9% pure silver.   In this case the firing created two fine silver replicas of the original ammonite, which have been cleaned and gently polished to leave a matt finish.

Details: Each fine (99.9%) silver ammonite stud measures approx. 1.2cm x 1.2cm x 0.2cm.  The butterfly and post are sterling silver.

All my items will arrive wrapped in pale green recycled tissue paper fastened with linen thread, and in a recycled kraft pillow-box.  A little handwritten note explaining a bit about the piece is also included. Additional gift wrap options are available.

The pillow box is sent in a recycled cardboard box filled with eco-friendly, responsibly sourced UK wood wool.

The package will be shipped in 1-3 days and sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24 which is included.  Other delivery methods are available on request.

COMMISSIONS:  You may also like to know that I love taking special requests and commissions – perhaps to celebrate a special birthday or event, or maybe just to turn a favourite ‘something’ you have collected into a piece of jewellery you can wear.   So if you’d like to talk about creating something truly unique and bespoke for you or someone in your life please do get in touch, I’d love to help. Previous commissions have included turning a customer’s own sea-glass into a necklace, handcrafting a Bramble flower for a 21st birthday, recreating a dangly Catkin for a favourite sister or some coffee bean earrings for a Barista.   It’s also worth knowing that commissions don’t necessarily cost more than items in the shop – it depends what you have in mind – so it’s always worth a no-strings chat.

Returns and Refunds

All of my pieces are handmade with a lot of love and I take great pride in everything I make, and in seeing a smile on your face! I am a strong believer in hand-made meaning quality and also that because each piece is individually made by hand there sometimes may be irregularities on the surface reflecting the organic nature of the materials I work with , which creates truly one of a kind pieces.

I also know that occasionally things might go awry, and if you find that you have a problem with your item please contact me straight away so we can discuss how best to resolve the situation.
