This 8 Strand Statement Kumihimo necklace uses a lovely combination of Czech Daggers beads and Austrian Crystals to create a unique and unusual focal section to a beaded braided necklace.
The necklace is approximately 18.5” (47cm) long with a focal of approximately 3” (7.5cm) long. It was been finished with a Tierracast® hammered toggle clasp.

I have made this necklace using the ancient method of Japanese braiding called Kumihimo which translates as “gathered threads”. Dating from around 550 AD, Kumihimo was used to make the cords for lacing the Samurai warriors and their horses armour by interlacing strands. Today these same methods are being used with the addition of beads to create uniquely striking jewellery.
It will be posted gift wrapped in an Organza Bag.

I package everything very carefully, but should your order arrive damaged then please contact me straight away with photos of the damage.
