This technique is often known as painting with fabric, stitches or thread. I have used a combination of cotton fabric with a thinner chiffon style mesh fabric layered on top. I took advantage of the frayed edge of fabric for the background branches. I used tiny french knots to resemble the foliage of the trees in the foreground.

If you like my work but would like a different scene, then I do commissions. Please leave me an email with your requirements and a photo to work from. I am happy to work with you to create your own truly unique textile art.

I aim to send your purchases within 1-3 days, however if you have ordered a pet portrait please allow 21 days for making time. This will start from the day I receive the photo of your pet.

All items will be delivered by Royal mail first class. Items that are over £20.00 will be signed for and a tracking number will be available after they have been posted.

In the event that your items did not arrive at all after 10 days after the due date. It will be assumed that it has been lost in the post.  Please inform me of this and i will arrange a possible replacement or refund. As my products are one of a kind I very rarely have an exact copy available.

Add a touch of mystique to your wall décor with this magical fairy tale Castle, original hand embroidery.

 Castell Coch or the ‘red castle’ is just outside Cardiff, nestled amongst the trees on the side of the cliffs near Taffs well. It is called the red castle as in low light some of the bricks appear to be red. The third marquess of Bute had architect William Burges to create a magnificent building with highly decorated interior with lavish furnishings. Really worth a visit if you are in the area!

I have made this using layers of fabric and then hand embroidery on top, to create the detail. I chose the fabric which I thought looked like the tree and foliage and trees without leaves in the Autumn.

It measures A3 size in total but the actual image size is 19cm x 29cm and comes with its own solid wooden frame and ready to be hung on your wall to enjoy!
