I love to use flowers from my garden in my cyanotype prints, and daisy-like flowers always work so well. I used Hahnemuhle Buggra Bütten paper to create both the front and back cover prints.

To make it extra special, I used gold ink and a sprinkling of salt in the wet cyanotype developing process. This journal is one of my favourites.

The inside covers are made using handmade Nepalese Lokta paper in a gorgeous turquoise. The book is stitched together with turquoise Irish Linen waxed 4-ply thread.

I used Coptic stitching to bind the book together. Coptic binding means that the book will lie completely flat when opened, which makes it perfect for journaling or sketching.

All of the cartridge paper for the pages is recycled, mostly from old paper cups, and it’s all hand torn.

The paper in this journal is slightly heavier than I usually use … it is 140gsm and is perfect for journaling or sketching or even watercolours. The grey-board used for the covers is also, wherever possible, made from recycled materials.

This book is unique and made entirely by hand.
