A glass mosaic goldfinch with attitude, on a stalk to bring some gorgeous sparkle to your garden. This little bird will make a lovely addition to your plant pots and will brighten up your outdoor space
all year long. Light reflects and shines through the glass, so that it changes throughout the day. All materials used are weatherproof, so it will be fine outside all year in the UK climate.

All mosaics are to my original design and the glass is hand
cut by me. I use a variety of stained-glass types and colours, so each piece
comes out a little bit different. As a result, you will have a totally unique
piece of art.
Materials and aftercare:
Mosaics are made are made by cutting and gluing stained
glass onto a clear acrylic base using silicone glue. The acrylic makes the
whole item much more robust. As it is a mosaic there will be some evidence of
glue on the reverse but this is minimal and almost entirely invisible from the
front. The mosaic is then grouted with exterior grade grout, and the edges are
treated as well. A metal rod is firmly
embedded in the acrylic so you can stake them in your plant pots. The metal
stalk is protected against rust with Hammerite paint. As a result, mosaics are
frost proof and able to weather all conditions, although care might need to be
taken in extreme gusty conditions.
When staking birds into your plant pots please put pressure
on the stake rather than the mosaic so as not to weaken the join.
The glass can be cleaned if needed with a sponge and mild
fairy liquid. A microfibre cloth can be used to polish up the glass and the
acrylic.
As with any item made with glass and especially mosaic,
please do take care when handling. Although every care has been taken to remove
sharp points and edges, please keep them away from small children.

All Baobab Tree Mosaic items arrive securely wrapped in bubble wrap and cushioning packaging, usually in a bespoke box. Glass items are fragile and all care is taken to pack items securely so that they reach you intact.
Shipping is included within the UK. All orders are posted via Royal Mail in the UK.
If you would like me to add a short, handwritten gift note please write your message in the 'add on’ section when you check out.
I aim to despatch all orders within three working days of receipt of payment, and aim to contact you in the event that there is likely to be any delay.

When you place an order from me, I will receive your name, delivery address, telephone number and email address from The British Craft House in order to process your order. I will only use these details to process and deliver your order or to deal with any queries you have related to that order
The only circumstances in which I will share your data are in processing your The British Craft House order or complying with the law. I will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed below, or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent. The circumstances in which I may share your data are:
• With The British Craft House to comply with my obligations.
• With mail delivery companies or couriers in order to fulfil your order.
• To comply with any legal or tax obligations that I have.
I will only retain your details for as long as necessary and in order to process the transaction and I will securely store any data collected during that period. I retain personal data related to orders or customer queries for six years. After this time, I will delete your data from my records.
You have the right to know what personal data I hold about you, and to ask for that data to be changed or deleted. I will delete your personal data if requested.
An important part of GDPR is the right to erasure. The right to erasure is also known as ‘the right to be forgotten’. Individuals can make a request for erasure verbally or in writing. I have one month to respond to a request. I will delete your data from all my records as well as any third-party service providers, such as my email service.
You also have the right to complain to the ICO if you believe there is a problem with the way I handle your data.
Refund Policy
Refunds:
I understand that buying something on the internet without seeing it in person can be daunting, although I make every effort to ensure that descriptions are as accurate as possible.
If you are unhappy with your purchase, or wish to change your mind, I will be happy to arrange a refund of the goods. Items should be returned to me undamaged and in the original packaging and box, fit for resale, within 14 days of original receipt. Unless agreed otherwise, the cost of returns are the responsibility of the customer.
If you are unhappy with your item or it is damaged upon receipt please contact me immediately and send detailed photos of the damage.
The item must be returned in the original packaging within 14 days for a refund. Proof of posting is recommended for your benefit. Once received I will be able to action a refund.
Please be aware that as these items are made from glass they need to be well packaged otherwise there is the risk of breakage during posting, hence the use of the original packaging and box.
