Dichroic Fused Glass Pendant Earring Set Silver 057 073 075

The dichroic glass cabochon for these pendants and earrings are all handmade, by me, with love.

Fused in my glass kiln to very high temperatures, 1500 degrees F and annealed for strength.

The cabochons are formed from 2 layers of carefully hand-cut fusing glass Coe 90. The bottom layer coloured bullseye glass. The top, an arrangement of precious dichroic glass.

When they come out of the kiln I am like a child in a sweetie shop, they look so delicious.

The dichroic layer rather magically reflects or refracts different colours as they catch the light (the word dichroic comes from Greek and means 2 coloured).

The back of the cabachons are attached to silver plated earring and pendant bails using E6000 strongest adhesive. The earrings are then attached to sterling silver hooks to be sure they are safe for your ears. The pendant comes complete with a pretty silver plated 18cm chain so is all ready to gift / wear.

I post these out in a pretty coloured gift box. The boxes are 5.5 x 7.5 cm so you can see from the photos the approximate size of the jewellery which does vary a little in size. 
I make no promise of symmetry and they are not designed to be, they are handcut glass and glass has a mind of its own and once fusing in the kiln that does its own thing too.
