This will be a custom, hand-beaded pet portrait, designed and created especially for you.  The photos in the listing show examples of the items I have created for others.  I hand-bead all of my pieces at my home near Portsmouth, closely supervised by one or other of my cats, Ash & Cinders.  Each hand-beaded item takes 6-8 hours to complete (sometimes many more), but I love the order and rhythm of the bead-embroidery process, sewing each individual bead to create unique and beautiful pieces.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • After purchasing this item, please send me an email and tell me what you’d like.  I will ask you to share several photos with me.
  • You may opt to have a brooch, keychain, purse charm, pendant, hanging ornament, or a framed piece – just let me know your preference.  
  • I will share a design image / sketch with you prior to starting the beading process.
  • It will take me 3-4 weeks to design and hand bead your item (from the date of receiving your photos), but I will keep you updated with progress along the way.
  • Your item will be backed with coordinating faux suede (if not framed), and meticulously edged with beads to create the finished piece.
  • If a framed finish is chosen, your item will be carefully mounted and framed in a black 4″ x 4″ (10cm) acrylic box frame.
  • Once complete, your beaded treasure will be carefully wrapped ready to give as a gift or as a treat to yourself!

Your item will be hand-crafted especially for you on a made-to-order basis, and will be handmade with care in a smoke-free and cat-friendly environment.  Your item is intended for decorative purposes,  although fishing twine is used in the creative process, ensuring the beads are attached firmly and will withstand normal day-to-day wear.  Please note, bead colours may appear slightly differently on different computer or device screens, and in different lighting.

Everybody loves receiving pretty packages through the post, and if they’re prettily wrapped then even better!  For a small additional cost, I can send your beautiful portrait wrapped in polka tissue with a pretty raffia ribbon tie.  I will also attach a gift tag with your preferred wording – please advise at the time of ordering.

My despatch times are clearly stated on each item - often my pieces are made to order so can take up to 2 weeks before despatch, but I will endeavour to ship earlier where I can.

Items will be shipped by Royal Mail first class service within the stated processing deadline. Processing timeframes for custom orders are generally longer, but I will contact you and keep you updated with progress.  Expedited shipping can be provided on request - please just ask.

Items shipped internationally are generally posted via Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed service, but unfortunately actual shipment times are out of my control, and packages can occasionally be held up in customs.  Customers are responsible for any customs and import charges, taxes and additional postage fees that may be applied.

If your item is returned to me as undeliverable or uncollected from the delivery office, I cannot be held responsible.  If you still wish to receive the item, you will be responsible for the costs of re-shipping.  If you do not wish to have the package reshipped, or you do not respond to my notification emails within 5 working days, your order will be considered to have been cancelled and a refund issued for the value of the order only.

If your item is lost in transit, I will refer to Royal Mail policies and timescales regarding lost packages (generally 2 weeks after due date).  I will endeavour to provide a replacement item or a refund.

If you wish to return an item, please contact me first so that I know to keep an eye out for it and can process your refund more efficiently.  Under UK law, you have the right to terminate the contract and return the item, even if the item is not faulty in any way.  You have the right to do this up to 14 days after receipt of the item.  I recommend that you obtain proof of posting at the time of sending, in case the item gets lost in the mail.  I will arrange a full refund of your purchase once the item arrives back with me.  Any item returned must be unused and in its original condition.

Please note that, for hygiene reasons, earrings cannot be returned.  I cannot offer refunds or exchanges on items that are commissioned, personalised or customised in any way.

If you change your mind about your order before I have despatched it, please do contact me by email as soon as possible to request a cancellation.  

If you wish to exchange an item, please get in touch so that I can make sure I have a suitable alternative available.
