A ruffle anemone style flower in contrasting colours made from 100% merino wool felt, with a contrasting handmade covered button centre. The flower has a clip/pin on the back so you can wear it as a coat brooch or pin it onto a lapel or attach it to a hat.

The brooch pin has a diameter of 8cm/3.25”.

I love the beautiful texture and jewel colours of pure merino wool felt, and recently discovered a gorgeous colour range of felt that I have used to create this collection of stunning felt flower coat brooches.

The flowers are created handmade  – each of the four individually petals features a ruffle effect, to give a 3D structure, emphasised by the quality of the 100% merino wool. I’ve finished the flower with embroidered ”anthers” and a contrasting handmade button centre that I’ve covered in millinery petersham.

The 9cm/3.5” diameter brooch features a jewellery pin so is suitable for pinning onto a cardigan, coat, lapel or hat, in fact anywhere ever you can find a place! Your coat brooch can also be gift wrapped and sent direct to the recipient with a handwritten gift card attached.

Please use the drop-down boxes to select from the eight x 4 colour options available, each of the colourways is loosely themed on one of the seasons. I am adding to the selection all the time so if you would like to order the brooch in a different colour bank, or in single or dual colours only, too, please make a note in the comments section and I will get in touch. 

Please ask for details if you are interested in the handmade peach bloom fedora or the red felt beret. Just like the frames, included in another picture in the listing, used to display the felt flowers, these props are not included in the listing. 

Care guidelines 

Your handmade felt flower is made from 100% merino wool. Due to the nature of the fabric and the construction of the flower, they are unsuitable for washing.

Please store your felt flower brooch safely when not in use, and remove it before laundering your coat or jumper. If you feel your brooch needs freshening up, making sure you avoid burning your fingers in the steam, boil your kettle and hold your flower by the pin, in the steam flow about 6 – 8″/16-20 cm away from the kettle, for 30 seconds. Leave to dry.

Shipping Policy

Once I receive your order how long will it take me to despatch your item - stock items will be despatched within 3-4 working days, so if your item is needed urgently please don't forget to include a note on your order so I can be in touch to confirm the despatch date. For special orders/customised items there is more detail regarding lead times on the individual listing, and I will be in touch to confirm the details before I start on the customisation.

Posting your order - for UK sales, I will send your order via Royal Mail Tracked & Signed For service. For International orders your order will be sent via Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed For service if available, or I will use Royal Mail International Signed For.

Postal charges - unless specified in the description your order will be subject to £4 carriage charge within the UK, Royal Mail Tracked & Signed For service, £10 for Royal Mail Signed For service within the EU, and £16 for Royal Mail "Tracked & Signed For" where available, elsewhere. Exceptions to these charges are for bulky items which also require larger boxes and will be quoted accordingly.

Letting you know your parcel's on its way - when I have despatched your order I will confirm the carrier details and will also send your tracking number where appropriate.

How long will it take for you receive your order - UK orders should be received within 1-3 days of despatch. For International orders please allow a minimum of  7 - 14 days from despatch for delivery. Obviously delivery maybe extended at busy times, eg Christmas, so please allow for postal delays when ordering for a special occasion.

Please be aware that international orders may also be subject to Custom Charges, which will be payable by you to to your locally based custom authorities, I regret too that I cannot be held responsible  for any damage that may occur if the customs authorities open the parcel prior to delivery, to inspect the contents.

If you are out when the postman comes - if you are aware that there will be no one will be at home to sign for your delivery, please provide an alternative address where someone will be available to sign for the delivery during normal delivery hours at the check-out stage. If your order is returned to me due to non delivery at your specified address, or subsequent non collection from your local post office where it has been temporarily held awaiting your collection, that's not a problem, however if you subsequently wish me to re-ship, I will unfortunately have to re-invoice the delivery charge. 

Non delivery of international orders - if you are aware that there will be no one will be at home to sign for your delivery, please provide an alternative address where someone will be available to sign for the delivery during normal delivery hours at the check-out stage. If your order is returned to me due to non delivery, and you wish me to re-ship, that's not a problem, however if you subsequently wish me to re-ship, I will unfortunately have to re-invoice the delivery charge. 

What happens if your order is delayed or even lost - Royal Mail have guidelines for regarding delayed or lost parcels, and whilst I adhere to their guidelines please do get in touch if you feel the delivery has been excessively delayed.  Once Royal Mail's delivery period has elapsed, if the parcel still remains undelivered, I will contact you to arrange the despatch of a replacement or to arrange a refund. 

If your order remains undelivered and is returned to me - I will email you to advise I have received your item back. Please get in touch as soon as you can once you receive my email - or no later than 5 days from its receipt - and let me know if you would like the the item reshipped, this will be at your additional cost. If it's no longer required I can cancel and refund for the item, excluding the carriage charge.

Refund Policy

What to do if you change your mind about your order prior to despatch - if you change your mind once you have ordered your item, but before despatch, please get in touch by email for a refund. I will refund you by your original method of payment. 

Returning your stock item for a refund - all returns are disappointing both for you and me, and whilst you have a legal right to apply for a refund, this option applies only within fourteen days of receipt. It also only applies to unworn items, returned in their original condition. Before returning your stock item you should first advise me by email of your decision within 7 days of receipt, stating the reason for the return, and then please wait for my response before returning the item.

Once you have my confirmatory email regarding your return please carefully and securely pack up your unworn item in the original packaging if possible, ensuring all the tags remain attached. If substitute packaging is used, please ensure the parcel is both waterproof and secure. Then arrange the return via Royal Mail - or an international similar service - ensuring your parcel is sent back tracked, signed, and insured. As I cannot be held responsible for any damage that occurs during transit please ensure the package is adequately insured and obtain proof of posting. Once you have despatched your item, please email scanning/photographing the receipt showing the parcel no., so I can track its return. Goods should be returned to me with 14 days of your receiving my confirmatory email and please bear in mind that the buyer is responsible for any loss in value that has occurred.

On receipt of your return and after inspection of the goods I will refund you, less the cost of carriage, within fourteen days, using your original method of payment. 

Are there any exceptions which cannot be returned - I am unable to accept the return of special orders, bespoke and customised items, which are non returnable and non refundable. 

If you see another item in my shop that you would like to exchange for the one you received - please advise me by email within 14 days of receipt, stating the reason for the return, I will then check I have stock of your chosen replacement.

After carefully and securely packing up your unworn item with any tags attached, return it to me, using the original packaging if possible. If substitute packaging is used, please ensure the parcel is both waterproof and secure, and return it via Royal Mail tracked and signed - or an international similar service. Ensure the package is adequately insured in case of any damage during the return (for which I cannot be held responsible) and obtain proof of posting, and then email me the postage receipt which should show show the service used as well as the parcel no., so I can track its return. Goods for exchange should be returned to me with 14 days of my confirmation of the return. 

On receipt and after inspection, I will despatch the replacement, carriage will be at your cost.

If your item is damaged during delivery or you receive a faulty item -  I will be very disappointed if the item I ship to you is damaged during the delivery process, or if on receipt you consider it to be faulty as all my items are lovingly made by me. The fabrics I use are carefully selected, most of my techniques are entirely buy hand, and I also inspect each item carefully prior to despatch. However if you are concerned please email me on receipt of your order, including details and images of the damage/faults and I will be in touch via email.

Is it possible to get a refund - where applicable, refunds will be issued within 14 days of my receipt of the item that you have returned.

    I am so pleased with my flower brooch – a Christmas present to me from my children. I chose “petunia” for its bright and cheerful colours – a great match for my coat and exactly as described. Beautifully handmade with high quality materials, my parcel was wrapped with great attention to detail by Margaret and arrived quickly, even at Christmas. It also included a very handy care guide. I am looking forward to getting out and about again to show it off. Highly recommended, either as a gift or treat for yourself!

    I have just received my stunning ‘Petunia’ flower brooch. I bought it as a gift but a little voice in my head was saying “keep it, keep it” because it is so beautiful. I will send it on knowing that I’ll be ordering more, including one for myself. The quality of materials and workmanship is superb and the packaging exquisite.
