Description
Ever since watching Watership Down I have had a special fondness for hares, this was made even stronger after reading Guess How Much I Love you to my children! When I saw this beautiful photograph from Steve Jacob I knew I had to draw it!
This piece was completed over several hours using lightfast colour pencils (a combination of Faber Castell Polychromos, Derwent Lightfast and Caran D’ache luminance) on Fabriano Artistico 300gsm hot pressed cotton paper. Using several light layer I built up the fur texture slowly creating detail and softness that is almost touchable.
The piece is mounted with an off white 16 by 20 inch mount that complements the piece and is ready to frame (comes UNFRAMED)
