Beaded 3D Star Battery Tea Light Surround in Purple and Teal

This pretty, delicate beaded tealight surround would make a fabulous gift and add elegance to any room.  It is, however, important that it is only used for flameless (e.g. battery operated) tea lights as the heat from a real flame will not only damage the thread that holds the beads together but also, possibly, the acrylic mirror base on which the surround stands. The tea light surround can be stood on any surface but because it looks fabulous on a mirror, I am including the base and two flameless tea lights with your purchase of my handmade beadwork surround.

The surround is made from tiny delica seed beads in shades of shiny purple and teal using a bead weaving stitch called peyote and is finished with matching purple Swarovski crystals in deep purple. I have made it from a beadweaving tutorial by Theodora Seimeni of Zia Lola Beads It, who gives permission for items made from her patterns to be sold. Her tutorial is called Starlight Keeper.

The surround measures 8cms (3.15 ins) from point to point across the top, whilst the inner ring is 4cms (1.6 ins) and fits a standard small flameless tea light. The acrylic base is 9cms (3.5 ins) in diameter.
