Autumn Gold is a large, stitched textile painting created with a range of fabrics and thread, all naturally hand dyed here in my studio. It reflects the landscape as the leaves on the trees change to russets and golds and the fields are ploughed into deep brown furrows. Around their boundaries, a myriad of silvery seed heads rustle in the breeze. Each layer has been carefully stitched, appliquéd and embroidered by hand to create the floral detail.
The piece is stitch mounted into a glazed white frame measuring 43 cm x 53 cm.
All loose threads and raw edges are integral to the texture of this handmade piece.

The majority of the fabrics and trimmings used within this textile landscape have been hand dyed in my dye studio at home, using my own eco friendly, natural plant dyes. All these shades have come from one dye bath! The picture is made using a selection of layered textiles which have been stitched together, appliquéd and hand embroidered to add floral details. The piece is hand stitched onto art card and mounted in a glazed white frame.

Shipping is currently set up for the Uk and a number of international destinations, however, I am happy to quote for other countries, depending upon the product. If you would like an item posted to an alternative destination, please contact me and I will be happy to discuss your requirements. Occasionally, larger parcels will require a ParcelForce delivery. All items will be sent via Royal Mail within the UK To international destinations, parcels will be sent Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed For or Royal Mail International as appropriate. As many of my products are one off original pieces of art, I have attempted to select the safest and best value option for secure delivery based on the size and value of my products, and to give you, the customer, peace of mind.
Customers from outside the UK are responsible for paying any import taxes on products into their own countries.
I will always try to use recycled packaging, without compromising security, so your package may not always look as pretty as the contents!
Please note glazed artwork items are currently unavailable for International Shipping.
Please ensure your address is correct at point of order as this will be exactly what is copied, clearly, onto your parcel’s delivery label. I will add my return address on the outside of the package also.
