I’m proud to say that, as far as possible, I use eco friendly, cruelty free materials to produce my work.
I use synthetic paint brushes as opposed to animal hair, and these still produce the same quality of work. Quality recycled paper is used for my original artwork, and I recycle/reuse fabric, paper, envelopes, labels and magazines etc in my mini notebooks, collage work and packaging. I recycle found bits of wood and use them as frames for some of my work.
All my greetings cards are FSC certified and ISO 14001 environmentally certified. The card is manufactured by Iggesund whose own ethics fit well with mine.
From their website:
“Iggesund Paperboard is part of the forest industry group Holmen, which owns more than 1.3 million hectares of forest in Sweden. This allows us to take care and think quality from seed to paperboard. Our foundation is sustainably managed forest, and we make our products in state-of-the-art, bio-powered mills.”
Your purchases are also, as far as possible, packed in reused or recycled packing material, and of course, still packed with care.
My own home recycling has reduced enormously because of my reuse of card and envelopes etc especially in my little Kubi notebooks, it makes me quite proud.
I also look forward to any deliveries I get, not just for the item but to see what packaging has been used! a tad geeky eh?
Anyway, thank you for reading, and I hope that knowing about my ethos will encourage you to think of me when looking for a gift, for someone else or a treat to yourself
