My journey into jewellery making was really not a planned one! Whilst I’ve always loved creative activities (learning to draw and sew at an early age), my career took me into office and administrative roles for many years.
It was only when I started a family and decided to take some time out from work, that I found time to rediscover my creative streak. It was around 10 years ago that I stumbled upon a beading book in my local library and I became hooked!
It’s taken some years to discover a style and technique that I’ve wanted to focus on. I’ve completed numerous courses, studied a lot of books and generally experimented in many areas including wire wrapping, polymer clay, silver metal clay, resin, beadwork and silver smithing. I’ve enjoyed them all, but I always come back to beadwork (probably because of my love of sewing) and silver smithing (probably because of my love of hammering things)!
Over time my own style has evolved that combines these techniques. The result is a variety of unique, colourful and often sparkling pieces!
I started my business a few years ago to sell some of the many pieces I’ve created! The business has continued to grow and I now run it full time from my home studio in Reigate.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you enjoy wearing my jewellery as much as I enjoy making it!
