This needle felted seascape picture has been created by needle felting wool and silk fibres onto a piece of backing felt. The needle felting process binds the fibres eliminating the need for stitiching. The headland is formed from a piece of handmade felt with silk embellishment and birds added using black thread. The picture has been framed in a 6″embroidery hoop and backed with a piece of white commercial felt.
